Tri-Guard Risk Solutions, Ltd was formed out of the realization that the major reason good businesses with good ideas sometimes fail is because risks were either not seen or, if seen, were not properly appreciated until it was too late. But, most importantly we understood that risk permeates everything!

Keesha M. Crosby is the CEO of Tri-Guard Risk Solutions, Ltd. Keesha has more than 18 years hands-on experience in security engineering. She has served in many roles to secure DoD and DoJ networks and systems, and she performed security policy evaluations, and vulnerability assessments. She was the primary developer of software assurance standards/policies for many government agencies. In addition, she has conducted technical assessments and evaluations of multiple classified networks, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending risk mitigation measures. She has held positions with HP Enterprise Services, General Dynamics Information Technology, Boeing, DynCorp, GTE/DynCorp Information Systems and DISA. Keesha earned her Bachelor of Science from Tuskegee University and Masters in Engineering from George Washington University.

Andrea Griffith, CISSP, PMP, ITIL VP of Security Operations, Andrea is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), who possesses more than 20 years of broad ranging experience in Cyber Security/Information Assurance, Program/Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Functional/Line Management and Information Technology (IT). The majority of Ms. Griffith’s career has been spent supporting the multi-faceted world of the Department of Defense (DoD). Her career was steered toward Business Process Re-Engineering and Computer Security to ensure that IT systems being built by government agencies were secure enough to prevent Cyber-attacks and able to make it through the rigorous certification and accreditation process outlined by Intelligence Agencies. Ms. Griffith has provided Program/Project Management support to Federal, State, and Local government agencies, managing multiple programs/projects with competing priorities while ensuring they were completed ahead of schedule and under budget. She has lead projects supporting agile development efforts and used statistical analysis to determine a Program’s health. Ms. Griffith has been a Functional/Line Manager mentoring junior and senior technical professionals to include Cyber Security Engineers, Database Engineers, Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, SATCOM Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Systems Administrators. She has been recognized for her ability to motivate team members of all levels in achievement of individual and organizational goals. Ms. Griffith has been recognized as a well-rounded and trusted leader among both her peers and subordinates. Over the last twenty years Ms. Griffith has held senior management roles at some of the world’s largest government contracting companies such as Northrop Grumman Corporation, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and Booz Allen & Hamilton (BAH). Ms. Griffith holds a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University in Information & Telecommunications, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Systems from Morgan State University.

James R. Lawrence is the Vice President of Business Development. James has extensive experience in technical sales and business development. He is sought after for his experience in customer acquisition and his ability to add their product and service offerings to the customer mission. James has a proven track record of developing processes, transactions, and consumer affairs to close the deal. James is highly focused on customers and their needs and his results are unparalleled. James has Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Tuskegee University.

Advisory Board

Annamaria Konya-Tannon is a serial entrepreneur. She has been involved in technology enterprise creation for more than 15 years, predominantly in the Silicon Valley. She is the founder and CEO of Equita Accelerator, a not for profit corporation dedicated to advancing women-led technology companies. Annamaria is a Mentor-In-Residence at George Washington University. Prior to starting Equita, Annamaria served as a Global Data Strategist for IBM with a focus on machine learning and data integration techniques for social media. She also served as National and Global Judging Chair for Cleantech Open, the world’s largest competition for emerging clean technology companies. She remains a CTO Global Ambassador.
Annamaria mentors and judges in many other startup competitions, including Astia, Springboard, Startup Chile and NYC Hackathons. Annamaria has been a guest lecturer on innovation and entrepreneurship at Stanford University. She served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Stanford University’s Technology Venture Lab.

Annamaria has served on boards of several companies and non-profit organizations. In addition, she was a founder or among the first employees of several Silicon Valley startups: EB Suite, a CRM startup; COBAK, which provided global trade advisory services; and Flock, which created a new generation web browser (acquired by Zynga). Annamaria also served as Project Lead for the United Nations International Telecom Union 2009, which focused on sustainable green technology advances in telecom. A native of Hungary, Annamaria completed her undergraduate work at the University of Szeged, received her masters from Middlebury College Monterey Institute of International Studies, and continued her postgraduate studies at Stanford University. She is an avid runner, enjoys yoga, golf and tennis. She is married, has two daughters and maintains residences in the Washington DC area and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Karl Ginter is a serial entrepreneur, mentor to early stage companies.
Thirty-five+ year career in various computing environments (software, network, telecommunications, embedded computing systems, computer security and cryptography, and medical devices). Areas of expertise include product innovation, basic and applied research in technical areas, intellectual property development, and business model development. Highlights include Chief Scientist for a technical company from early stage that went public, running a consulting practice of approximately 30 people, and being an inventor on many issued patents (approximately 70 issued in the US so far) in technology fields of digital rights management, secure computing, distributed network management, alternative locomotive power, and several other technologies.
Mentor to numerous local startups and I-Corps teams, focusing on business models and customer discovery.

Nate Fields has extensive experience in establishing and growing small and medium-sized businesses and social enterprises, both in the USA and overseas. For 25 + years, he has led and managed many business and organizational development initiatives including developing and launching new businesses and global development initiatives, turning floundering and problematic business entities into efficient operating entities, and mobilizing mobilized significant funds to achieve organizational growth targets.
Since 2011, he has served as Strategic Advisor and Senior Organizational Development Consultant leading the development of three high profile global initiatives sponsored by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser; in Doha, Qatar. Previous to this, Nate held senior management positions including stints as President/CEO as well as Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator for Africa, Senior Advisor for Organisational Development of the International Youth Foundation (IYF), Africa Regional Vice President for World Vision International, and Senior Policy Analyst with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. He also served as Director of International Business Development for Control Data Corporation, and he established and led an international consulting business specializing in technology transfer.

Dr. Randy Graves has over 45 years of experience in aerospace technology research, development, applications and management. He served for twenty-six years with NASA, finishing his career as the Director of the Aerodynamics Division in the Office of Aeronautics and Space Technology at NASA Headquarters. He has served on numerous managerial and technical panels and committees including being NASA’s member of the White House’s Federal Coordinating Council on Science Engineering and Technology Subcommittee on High Performance Computing and as NASA’s member of NATO’s Advisory Group on Aerospace Research and Development, Fluid Dynamics Panel where he was Chairman of the Computational Fluid Dynamics Subcommittee. Dr. Graves was responsible for NASA $90 million per year Aerodynamics R&D Program where he successfully guided the $125 million five-year Numerical Aerodynamics Simulation Supercomputer Facility construction to an on-time and on-budget completion.
He has been the CEO and Chairman of start-up companies and currently serves on advisory Boards and Board of Directors for several startups. He is a member of George Washington University’s National Advisory Council for the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Dr. Graves is currently Director, GWERT Mentors for George Washington University and serves as a Mentor for Accelerate-DC. He has been a judge or Mentor for the GW Biz Plan Competition since its inception. He has recently served twice as a Mentor for the NSF I-Corps Program. Dr. Graves continues his technology consulting through Graves Technology Inc., a consulting company he founded in 1991 and has over the years assisted numerous clients in identifying, assessing, and evaluation technologies for commercialization. He has written over forty technology assessment analyses for international clients.

Dr. Graves was awarded a Sloan Fellowship at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 1982. He received NASA’s Exceptional Performance Award for his managerial activities at NASA Headquarters and several Group Technology Development Awards for his planetary entry spacecraft activities at NASA’s Langley Research Center. Dr. Graves has received the George Washington University Outstanding Alumni Award and has been inducted into the GW School of Engineering and Applied Science’s Hall of Fame.

During Dr. Graves’ career he has published over 60 scientific and technical reports, book sections, conference papers, and magazine articles. He is listed in the Oxford Who’s Who Elite Registry of Extraordinary Individuals, 1992-1993 and in the Sterling Who’s Who Executive Edition, 1994.
